Though 30 doesn’t seem very old when it comes to health and fitness but in today’s time, we need to pay attention to our bodies after we have reached the magic number 30. I never thought I would be writing an article on this but when I experienced certain health issues myself after 30, I am more than compelled to make others aware of it too. So, in this article, we will focus on some health tips after 30 which would help you stay fit and healthy.
So, here we go.
Boost your Metabolism
Our metabolism is very active during 25-35 years but it tends to slow down as you age. You need to pay special attention to your metabolism as it would determine your overall health. The best way to boost your metabolism is by exercising regularly. This might seem cliched but this is what reality is all about. If you will not move for hours, you are not being able to burn calories and it would become an issue. The more you stay active and exercise, the faster your metabolism would be.
Exercise for at least 30-40 mins three times a week to increase your metabolism rate.
Eating just the right amount of balanced diet would help you stay healthy and fit for a long time. You need to take three proper meals with snacking in between. Breakfast should be very fulfilling as you need energy to keep you going for the whole day. Include more protein and little amount of carbohydrates which would keep you healthy. With a balanced diet and regular exercise, you would be able to stay fit.
You should not keep your stomach full when you are hungry. Always eat a little less than you actually want. Your metabolism would slow down and you would feel tired if your stomach is full.
Take Care of Your Skin
Once we cross the number 30, we need to pay special attention to our skin too and this is one of the most important health tips after 30. Taking care of our skin is not always beauty related. Skin health is as important as body health. You need a good sun protection formula cream to keep those harsh sun rays away. This would slow down the aging process and your risk for skin cancer would be reduced too. Sun rays are very harmful for the skin and it needs to be kept away.
Always apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun and re apply after every four hours depending on the exposure to the sun. The only time when sunscreen is not applied is in pitch dark.
Your Bones are Important
The bones start to deteriorate when we get into our 30’s. It is very important to look after your bone health and make sure you are taking ample amount of calcium and vitamin D to keep bones healthy. If you are not looking after your bones, you might end up having osteoporosis later in life.
With regular exercise, your bones would get stronger too. Keep exercising for at least three to four times a week. You can go for swimming jogging, aerobics, walking or running in the start.
Figs are very good for your bones. Include them in your daily diet and you will notice that your bones are getting better and stronger. I have experienced this myself and it really works for weak bones.
Stress can take a toll on your whole body and it needs to be reduced. In 30’s, we are either building our career, parenting or taking care of our aging parents. This can easily bring stress on which is not good for our general health. You need to find ways in order to keep a check on your stress levels.
Meditation is a good option for those who have plenty of time and want a peaceful surrounding.
Exercising is also a good way to bring your stress levels down and keep you healthy. I enjoy long walks to keep my stress level down. When you are not stressed then it would help you think, eat and sleep better. A peaceful mind is a healthy mind.
These are few health tips after 30 which can help you stay fit and healthy. Keeping yourself active and happy is the most important way to a healthy life. I hope you found the article useful and would adopt these tips to stay fit in your 30’s.
