Healthy isn’t a goal, it’s a way of living.

We have often heard of healthy living and for that we need to incorporate some healthy food recipes into our diet. Apart from exercise, your diet needs to include various natural and healthy food ingredients. A balanced diet is the most essential diet which needs to be taken.

A well balanced diet comprises of just the right amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

When I was in my 20’s, I always felt bad for people following a certain diet plan. I used to think why these people need to deprive themselves of all the delicious and scrumptious food items. With the passage of time, I realized that they were just doing the right thing.

We don’t get tempted by healthy food at all as we find it boring and not flavorful but I will share some amazing healthy food recipes here, which would not only please your taste buds but would also keep you stay fit.

Starting Off with Infused Water

I start off my day with a glass of lukewarm water added with honey and apple cider vinegar. This helps me detoxify early in the morning. It will also help in building immunity against allergies and other illnesses. You should also try and do this in the morning, it will help you get healthy.

When we talk about healthy food recipes, we often think of salads only. Salads are only part of a balanced diet. You would need more than salads to keep you stay healthy.



The basic idea is to cut down on the carbs and include more protein in your diet.

This will help your body get the desired energy it requires without putting on extra kilos.

Almonds to the Rescue

Do you want to feel energetic without having to prepare anything nutritious? You should take at least 5 or 7 almonds in the morning to boost your energy and in order to stay fit!

Adding nuts to your diet would help your body get extra nutrients which would help in giving energy to stay fit and healthy.


Almonds are the best to take in the morning.


You can also put almonds and walnuts in your salads. When you are done with these in the morning, you would now need some good recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Top 3 Healthy Food Recipes

Now let’s jump to the healthy recipes which are my go to ones when i feel low in energy and need to stay fit.

1. For Breakfast – Healthy Omelette

I prefer taking egg whites in my breakfast and these give nutrition for the whole day.

  • 3 egg whites
  • Mushrooms chopped
  • Black olives chopped
  • Onion chopped
  • Jalapeno pepper chopped
  • Salt and pepper


Put all the ingredients in the egg whites and give it a good whisk. Put olive oil in a frying pan and cook the egg whites. Flip over when one side is done. Serve this omelette with brown bread.


2. Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce for Lunch

I love to have grilled chicken with veggies on the side. Its fulfilling and makes you stay fit along with having a flavorful meal.

For the chicken you would need:

  • 2 lemons squeezed and juice taken out
  • Half teaspoon salt
  • 2 chicken breasts flattened
  • Half teaspoon black pepper freshly grounded
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 3 to 4 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Marinate the chicken breasts with these ingredients and put in the fridge for at least 2 hours so the flavours are infused into the chicken properly. It is best to keep it overnight. Take the chicken out and put some olive oil in a grill pan and cook chicken till it’s well done.

For the Sauce:

  • 250g chestnut or button mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

You need to drizzle some olive oil in a pan and saute mushrooms. Add flour and mix well. Then add low fat milk and use a whisk to prevent lumps. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Put this sauce on the grilled chicken and serve with blanched veggies.


3. Chicken and Vegetable Soup for Dinner

  • 1 cup Chicken shredded
  • ½ cup cabbage (chopped)
  • ½  cup carrots
  • ¼ cup green bell pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chicken stock



Add all the veggies and chicken in the chicken stock and cook for a while. Add salt and pepper to taste.

This soup among healthy food recipes is very flavorful and it fulfills your empty stomach at night. You should always keep your dinner low in calories and soup is the best option.
